I wonder how using a speed controller would adjust both of those curves, if it would be just a little or a large difference.

The drive to work at this time normally takes around 1hr and 10 mins.

In your test the fuel temp of the surge setup went past 38C in less than 30mins with a lower ambient temp......

This one is with the controller off, still took over 30 mins to get to 40C and again, ambient temp was higher in my test and I'd bet my pump is higher flowing.......

I don't know why this conversation keeps going on... As I see it:

- If you can't afford it, buy an external surge and put up with noise, hotter fuel and cheaper prices.

- If you can afford it, pay the expense and have a quiet system that looks to not heat the fuel as much.

Results at the end of the day mean that your car has a much less likelyhood of blowing up using either system.

As for the discussion on 044's.... Well....

I think they've got their place in the market but let's be honest how can anyone refute the manufacturers statement about how they are only built to withstand 500hrs on E85?

I think that Bosch know their product, and no workshop in the world can convince me that "she'll be right to set and forget mate". Seriously... Just because a few of you have used them for a few years on E85 now makes your claims superior to a multi-billion dollar OEM manufacturer?

I know I'd not be using an 044 on E85

The questions of the testing are the reason I posted in the intercooler thread that any testing should be done by an independent third party, people asked for KPM's testing data, possibly thinking it did not exist and now want to question it, not just on this forum but others as well

I think its obvious that KPM know what they're doing. Any smart proprietor would be foolish to make claims about their products that are unsubstantiated. You would risk your business name and credibility...

They obviously have not a lot to gain by doing it, considering its such a small market, but a whole lot to lose if their claims are bogus.

I'm tipping that the stationary car on the dyno would be heating up quicker than one on the road with airflow having a cooling effect on the surge.

Mick are you saying we shouldn't question the results???

If you had conducted the test would you have different fuel temp starting points???

Not saying this at all, but knew coming from KPM it would get disputed from some, which again is why I recommended a third party to test it.

If I was to test a system, I may not have any control over the initial fuel temp, if a car has been started the fuel will be above ambient temp
