As through history innovations and improvements come with resistance.

This is indeed true.

It is also true that the resistance almost universally succeeds if the innovations/improvements have no real world benefits in a free market :)

Correct.

this why we have put the challenge out in another forum of stating any advantages that a surge has over a correctly engineered intank system for the BA-FG Turbo and v8 Falcons.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to weigh in with a technical opinion. I strongly believe the market results will speak for themselves!

good honest response.

Market is truly the gauge of a product.

However it make take a while to have enough market to understand , purchase and use a product before all the advantages become understood.

This is the position we are currently experiencing with the Ford community.

The Expensive Daewoo guys and most other performance companies world wide have been spoiled for years and now the intank systems are the norm.

In the meantime we will continue to best explain while showing real world testing and results. Many Ford tuning workshops are starting to see the real benifits. as this increases it will be easier for the retail market to accept.

I'd love to fit one of these but the price to me seems quite high...

I realise all the r&d that's gone into it over many years, but 1700 odd dollars is a lot for what it is. Similar performance external surges can be had for 1000-1400. In my eyes the current price will inhibit its impact into the market, which is a shame.

Do you guys ever have any specials going? I'll jump on board straight away as soon as the price comes down a little.

The Streetfighter 1000 Hp Intank fuel system includes the

Direct drop in replacemant twin pump intank swirl pot/10,000 E85 rating

Direct fit matched High flow fuel pressure regulator

Correct direct fit to OEM loom plug and play wiring/relay kit.

It is an engineered system that does works as a package and requires no further expenses.

Fit time is also very quick due to the OEM style direct fit.

All materials used are Ethanol/E85/Petrol compatible eg Stainless, steels, high quality acetyl etc etc.

I believe if you compare it to a quality surge system, regulator and wiring you will find it very comparable .

Got to agree. I would spend the extra. Just for the cleanliness of it alone. No extra stuff bolted to the car.

I really like to just keep it simple... Instead of adding extra parts to the car unless it's essential.

When I buy car parts now, I ask myself, in 6 months time will I wish I just paid that bit more? Answer is always yes, for me anyway.

Completely agree, $1700 is not good value regardless of how solid the product is.

Why can't you just make a simple bracket and put your fuel pump in a metal bucket with a few holes drilled at the bottom?

What is the breakdown of that $1700? Sure there was no doubt R&D put into it, but I don't really think a product as simple as this had more than 2-3 iterations so it could not have been that much.

How many percent is the markup?
