My brother called up a mate at ford and apparently you need 2 keys to recode ba falcons, although my auto sparky reconed hes done with one. Once he got a spare key it just coded straight in and cranked over. Bit spewy about the $160/hr sparky not knowing his sh*t even though I had him out 3 times, but f*ck im glad to get it running. Got a new fuel pump as well that I didnt really need as I didnt realize theres a cutoff switch in the passanger footwell that was set to off. Im trying to put on one of those snorkels on the air box now, whats the best way of cutting out the hole? Itd be nice to be able to measure the radius of the curves on the snorkel and use a hole saw to get a good seal

My snorkel was a bit smaller than the dimensions shown for whatever reason, but the photo still definitely helped with the positioning. Thought id finally buy a dremel for the job, and it turned out mint! handy little thing. I did the exhaust cutaway in the rear bumper with it too as the standard xt exhaust ends before the bumper. Most of the car is together now, just waiting for the drive shaft to get a new centre bearing. Then waiting on tax return to finish her off. Need to get new roof lining and a set of legal tyres and a wheel, then I can try to get it licenced. Thinking im gonna go some black roof lining, and paint the pillar trims black too, as ive seen in another thread on this site, looks sweet from the photos. anyway, heres some photos of the progress. (if somebody in perth has one of those wheels to sell, please contact me as I need one)super happy with how the inside turned out. Was lucky enough to get the colour ICC from the turbo car, and the alpine blue matches nicely with the rest of the lights. need to beat the firewall back to shape after the battle that was getting the motor in. Seriously, how do people put the motor in these cars with the transmission? absolute dick of a job.
