The problem apparently comes from when he tries to code the key to the BCM, the BCM is not recognising the key being there. It cycles the door locks, but won't actually read the key being there. We tried to program the original BCM (with the whole ICC) with it's matching barrel and key and key reader, and still nothing. (this is all with the turbo ECU installed). I have measured the continuity of the wires from the key reader to the plug that goes into the BCM and they're all fine. We tried to code the key in again with all the gear from the turbo car again (key barrel ,key reader, BCM) and it still doesn't register a key being there. He said last resort was to get the key transponders tested, I haven't done that yet but seems pretty unlikely. Im pretty stuck as to what to do, but I've read on other forums that apparently I need to take the car to ford and they will be able to fix it. Does this sound about right? Im all out of other ideas, and the sparky I had out was pretty knowledgable about the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Literally all the electrics are from the turbo car, including both fuse boxes, same thing with steering column, dash, etc. The car had never been stolen, but it did have an aftermarket alarm system installed which I threw out. All the wires coming to it were spliced in, so theres no discontinuities in the wires after I removed it (Im pretty sure). I took a video of what happens when I try and start it, maybe itll clear some things up. Just having a look behind the fuse box, I found what looks like a diode (?) among the wires that go to the diagnostic plugCould somebody tell me if that's stock? Other than that im all out of ideas, and am completely heartbroken.
