They do but they also don't like over heating either, if you flog it hard like track work or towing I think a cooler is a good idea.

Also the heat exchanger is really for cold conditions and starts isn't it? That setup will see the box around ect temps anyway, start giving it a really hard time and temps will get high.

It does say somewhere in the zf service procedure the box must get to 70 degrees, its not the fluid level check, maybe on the test drive? So I guess they like being atleast that temp. Will try and find that bit of info...

I went the PWR ZF heat exchanger on Bels car, but we don't do track work with it, but I have a customer that does track work and has no issues with the PWR on his car

I know biz but I meant the heat exchanger

Proper cooling for me is essential (hence going to jons IC) so I just want to make sure that unit is up for it. Thanks for that mick

And if it isn't

Has anyone run both? (Air to air into a heat exchanger)

I used a B&M Supercooler on my BA Turbs which was in the same position as Biz's and it was on there for years without a fan and no problems with the 4sp auto still hitting hard after 7yrs or so.

From what I witnessed though the oil in the 4sp does only flow through at a low-ish speed so unless the ZF squirts out at high pressure I can't see a problem but that is why I have those two dicky OBD2 gauges to monitor the temps of everything...
