My old 9:1 2.5L turbo skyline felt like it had much more direct throttle response, I'm not sure if it was just the cable throttle or it actually was more responsive, I would have though having an extra 1.5L would surely make the 4L as good if not better off boost though.I wasn't exaggerating when I said my 900cc charade had better throttle feel, it really does feel better at the really low openings eg 10-20% Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm fairly certain the issue is the electronic throttle not the actual motor, though who knows.A great example is the good old 3.8L VN commodore, sh*tbox car and long stroke engine but they have really nice throttle response, the VP etc onwards don't because they changed the throttle design, people commonly change it to get the old feel back.I didn't think my 2.5L turbo 6 cyl was that small, the block is almost the same size as the 4L, had a longer intake tract as well and it had good throttle response. Does anyone have the standard mapping they could post up? Curious what it looks like.edit: I'm going to ask if I can have a look at the tuning software when I get the car tuned on Fri, see how much we can fiddle with it and if it improves the feel.
