Having to use a fair bit more throttle just to take off at a slightly brisk pace feels unnatural

Ask Stripes, he will tell you as he test drove my car. He felt the difference from his stock car to mine. The other thing that may be causing this is the boost solenoid needing cleaning or possibly the throttle body? Why I say this, well lately I have that sluggish feeling again and the car is still tuned. I can only assume that the boost solenoid needs cleaning or possibly needs to be replaced.Or the throttle body is full of gunk and needs a good cleaning.I am no expert, but that is what I am thinking at the moment.

But yes hino 500's do have terrible throttle responseAlso my old boys territory diesel has the worst drive by wire feel, and good old fraud just keep telling him it's normal... Even though it can be unsafe at times, throttle has a .5-1 second delay at times Edited 19/10/14 11:23 AM by Wilko16
Z2TT Member 714 Member For: 12y 8m 28d Posted 19/10/14 04:16 PM Share Posted 19/10/14 04:16 PM Yes the factory throttle response on the FG is Rubbish there is nothing wrong with the car, I at first thought it was a faulty boost solenoid and went to clean it, but in the end figured its all in the tune.At times you would put your pedal down 100% and it would only feel like it's going 70%, and all sorts of weird things like that, but the way the boost is designed to come on from factory also plays a bit part of the response. After doing a tune all this is improved on. I am not sure if Z2TT knows what they did either. With all these questions from you, I am going to assume that you will be doing the tuning to your car.You may want to get some more training on how to tune or possibly call the tuna that knows what he is doing. I doubt that they will let you in on their trade secrets though. There are a few on here that tune their cars themselves. turbotrana, Ralph Wiggum and few more that I cant remember right now.Maybe one of them can help out.
