OTR, exhaust and tune nets a gain from around 270 stock to around 325fwkw on the LS2, but on the LS3 it'd get you up to the 375fwkw mark. 1.9L blower kits will net you up around the 460fwkw mark, 2.3L kits around the 500fwkw (400rwkw)...which is getting towards the upper end of what the auto gearboxes can handle. Rest of the driveline can handle up to around the 480rwkw mark.The biggest difference between mine and Arron's car is that his it tuned and he's changed his diff ratio, which makes it quicker on takeoff. His definitely feels quicker underfoot than mine. Obviously we'd both get smoked by XR6T's or Miami powered cars with mods though. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
genuine honest person Member 2,769 Member For: 10y 11m Gender: Male Location: near brisbane Posted 23/12/14 11:22 AM Share Posted 23/12/14 11:22 AM (edited) I was talking to a bloke who had a Magnuson blower kit and a cam done on his SS-V Redline through KPM and he ran 10.7 and hadn't touched the rest of the driveline...try doing that in a Ford without breaking your tailshaft/half shafts/diff/diff bushes/cradle...yes and he would constantly brake the standard driveshaft with that sort of power . they are one of the week points in these cars .holdens are also not bullet proof . now that you own a Expensive Daewoo they are better than a ford .and about 6 month ago your ford was better than a holden next time you are going to tell us that a toyota is better ,because you decided to buy a corolla 4 cylinder . no mater what car, they all have problems .just because the air vents make some noise is not a reason why I would sell a car . Cozdynowarriors.. But Duspeed OTR, 1 7/8th headers, 3" zorst, Higgins Heads and Cam.. on two dynos it's scored 328rwkw and 335rwkw.. First was Dyno Dynamics second was mainline.. Dyno sheet in the glove box tells me that prior to cam and heads with just OTR and full exhaust saw only 255 rwkw on Dyno Dynamics dyno..With cam it's making power around 5400-5500 RPM.. That's apples to lemons with forced induction..What I do know..A) it's f*cking loudB) it's f*cking loudC) it's f*cking loudD) it gets flogged by P platers in 4 cylinders daily coz I don't drive like a fecking maniacE) it's f*cking loudF) it gets flogged by turbosG) it fits my golf clubs and cart in the boot easily.H) my 2 year old loves daddy's vroom vroom car.. I) it really needs a cleanJ) Realistically I don't need anything faster than that for what I use the car for.. K) my next car will be a Subaru again.. Or a Mustang.. Porn on wheels there.. Does it really bloody matter though?I love reading what people have done to their cars on this forum.. Been a ford man born and raised.. But I also love what people do to their holdens.. I was ready to go balls deep on mods on my XR6T until I started to have the electrical problems with it..Then work car for so long..I technically own and drive daily an illegally modified car which doesn't get a second glance as I won't put the bloody 20" rims it came with on it and just run 18" stockies.. I even got the rear mufflers replaced with stock units (effectively choking the car) so I can drive it without attracting too much attention..I think cammed and stalled V8 autos are oinkers around town..
