Just to prepare for the cam, vcm7, it also now has 1 7/8 extractors and hi flow cats to meet up to the 3" zorst...

I understand Maf is a better way of tuning

I've had awesome results with MAF tunes with a 6.0l ve getting 650l to a tank, he's soft, changes before 2k and majority on straight roads, not much start stop

Yeh maf gives heaps more scope but I understand why u did what u did

The cam is a big one for me and what number vcm I should go and why

So why did u select no7 ? Iam just doing leg work as everyone's opinions differs

Exactly right maf has a wider scope, but you can make a speed density tune almost as good it will just take time to dial it in... Pretty much the same as we do with our aus Falcons...

The reason for the 7 was simply that he wanted the biggest possible cam without flycutting the Pistons, even though I explained he will lose his down low drivability and munch the fuel.. I had a good discussion with mario at vcm, they are very helpful... These heads flow over 600hp as they are so next step will be to up the comp and change the lifters..

I put a vcm12 in a clubby last week, still touching up the tune on the road before buying Dyno time, but it is still Very drivable!! With the standard extractors, hollow cats, and 2.5" zorst... pulls all the way to redline =)

No dyno results as yet, these are my first two for good friends of mine, so really just educated guessing going on...

As you know, cams are chosen per application so if I were to choose a cam for myself, I'd be looking for the broadest power band otherwise you'll start needing high stall, short gears etc... But that 12 is impressive so far
