It was a VF Redline, exactly like the car I'm going to get...only with an OTR, zorst and blower. Sounded horn, but still quiet and comfortable inside the cabin that it would be easily livable day to day. I didn't drive it, I was passenger...but felt like it pulled as hard as my car, the auto tune was nice you could feel it shifting hard when he was really getting up it. He may have even taken me to a private road and lit the thing up hahaha, was awesome! And not a hint of axle tramp or driveline noise the whole time. Harrop zorst sounded nice too, nice and deep.

As you know after being in mine the auto tune makes heaps of difference. So which way are you going. 310 pack. Power pack. Or blower pack. If you go blower get the Magnuson heartbeat 2300.

Was the blow VF at a dealer

Gonna lower it and leave it as it is for now. Will be paid off by middle of next year then if I've still got a job I'll probably just go straight for a blower pack. Magnuson would be nice but I don't want to fiddle with this car too much. Thinking I'll go Harrop blower pack and then if there is a problem I can go back to them coz it's comes with driveline warranty got the remainder of my new car warranty.

Yep, was the Harrop Performance WA workshop demo car. They're actually inside the Youngs Expensive Daewoo dealership.

Congrats and good luck with the car Stripes. You can get the side fender and front blackout kit of eBay for half the price of what the RRP is.

You got a very good trade in for the GT, must be happy with that. Also just make sure that they don't stuff you around with swapping over the suspension and that you get every nut n bolt from them.

Yeah that's probably a pretty good point, think I'll save the money on the blackout from the dealer and just look for them on eBay if I don't like the chrome.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with the trade in, that's why I'm happy enough to go for a 2014 built MY15, as the few hundred bucks difference I'd get trading/selling it down the track will be much less than the few thousand dollars I could lose on trading the GT next year..here's to hoping they can snag me a MY15 tomorrow :)

Dan...all this cause of a couple lil issues with the GT? Couldn't you have installed that whiz bang double diff bush kit Ralph posted? I'm guessing it wouldnt be as quiet as you like your cars? Why you acting like an old fart...just whack a big zorst in and you won't hear any noises :P

Also are you comparing you're backlashy/harsh/noisy manual GT to an auto Bogan special ? Of coarse the auto will seem smoother hey? Whats the commonwhore auto like vs. the ZF? I drove a VE once and didn't like how it felt...but maybe the VF is more refined

Also did you consider resale value; or not really bothered cause rich kent? Lol

Oh well; it will still be a nice ride..I think you should swing by mine before you trade her in...and then swing past again once you have the VF ;) hahaha

Good luck with it all dude!

I COULD have Peter, but I really can't be bothered. I bought a $65,000 car so why should it be up to me to fix all the things Ford didn't? Sure, the double diff bush kit might help, but I've heard it's still clunky...and expensive. The whole driveline on the falcon is hugely outdated, it lends itself to noise.

You still get backlash in the auto falcon, just ask Boris. Sure it may not be as pronounced, but it's still there.

Resale value will be much of a muchness. Society has changed and the modern GT's don't hold the same sentimental value to us younger generation as they did back in the day. As much as I've loved Ford since I was a kid, I want value for my money. Like Arron with his F6, if the GT was just a fun/weekend car then I wouldn't be as bothered, but it's not and I want something more refined to drive around town in. I'm not rich like you suggest, which is precisely why I want better value for my money.

You can see from my earlier comments I was thinking the same way as you until I took the time to go drive them properly and appreciate what they're all about. I think the auto helped win me over though, it's a great box especially in performance mode and just ties in better with the rest of the car.
