Keith, most hoist manufacturers will have the specs for hieght/clearance/concrete thickness and comprehensive strength on their websites.

Pick the hoist you want and work back from there Is my advice.

Yeah, I've got roughly to that point of working backwards. I want to get an idea on what peoples experiences are with getting customised garages and how high of a lift is preferable, what brands do you trust etc.

I have been doing some research on them. Im going to raise my shed 3foot and slab on hoist side will be 150 thick with a 300 box footing.

Now time to get the cash.

I think that the twin turbos took up the fund that were meant for this project.

I think he might flog off the first turbo if Garrett fixes it and then he can get his shed sorted.
