Hi XRT330

Have noticed you've an APS stage II kited auto XR6T ... please let us all know how its going and if your happy with it.

Would be very interested in its driveability, power and shift quality of the tranny under full throttle upshifts in drive especially 2nd to 3rd.

Look forward to hearing back from you :oooh:

Hi IM2QIK,

Was just reading your question to XRT330 regarding the auto trans changes since the fitting of the phase 2 kit. I have had the phase 2 fitted to my car for approx 4 months now, have not had the auto upgraded and have absolutely no problem with the shift for 2-3 or any other shift. Previous to the phase 2 install I had the phase 1 for around 7 months and had no problems with that either.

Hope this helps.

Dear APS Stage II owners,

Could you please advise what sort of fuel usage you are getting with the stage II kit ??

Ie: around town, peak hour & spirited driving.

Thanks in advance

Hi Guys

My fuel consumption is better after the install of the stage II kit. I was averaging about 14.4 to 14.5L/100 ,mostly city driving. Now after the kit I am averaging about 13.3 - 13.4L/100.

Approx 1L/100 better.

Thanks for your reply had a dyno check all is well.

Appears I have a valve seal problem and wondering if you have any ideas on replacement valve springs while they are doing the work

I think the drop in performance in N/A cars would be less noticable then it would be on Turbo cars. My car has a really large power drop in hot weather.

Hi Peter,

I have read on the site that Peter Warren Ford in Smithfield are doing APS Phase I and possibly II kits with warranty remaining intact. Do you know anything about this?

If so, do you have a list of Ford dealers that are doing this, as I would me most interested in following this path. Any other details about what they are doing would be appreciated. Thanks.
