Dont let this thread die, the more we know about where the weaknesses are in this trans and how to overcome them, the less frustrating it will be for the people with an auto problem. I'm getting too old and grey to go back to a manual tranny but I still want my 600rwhp. This is the biggest issue in my opinion for the BA turbo.

I know you have posted at somepoint what chip you are running,

but can you please refresh my memory as I am curious if the flaring issue is more prominent in one chip v another, and if so what are the causes.

I have APS phase 2 (271rwkw) and the APS phase 2 auto upgrade and it is simply awesome, I love it! Guys you should really speak to APS or C&V as I reckon these two outfits have done a sh*t load of testing already on the XRT and know more than most specialist auto trans shops I have spoken to.

xr6kness, they quote you that because I think its the minimum power output that these cars are putting out with these kits, they are just being responsible by not over quoting on power outputs so u dont get pissed off if u dont get the 270rwkw some cars get, I had C and V tune my car about a month ago and the got 267 with mine and I have a auto.

By the way this is the wrong topic to ask these questions.

I agree with you on that 100% but unfortunatly a auto upgrade kit isnt fully ready from either of these tunners from what I hear.

Please fill us in on what mods your auto has 100% im dying to know?

From what Peter said in another thread I believe that the APS Phase 2 auto upgrade is available, and this is what Mark has. From memory Peter said it was $600 and was suitable for phase 1 & 2. The auto upgrade for the higher phase kits are still in development from what I've read.

alxr6t is that the line pressure mod?? This mod doesnt do anything to strengthen the boy unfortunatly but it does reduce the chances of you hitting the rev limiter. As far as the reliability goes with our autos and phase 2 mods I feel its all relative to the way u drive and unfortunatly I dont drive within the limitations of the gearbox, I often accelerate very hard from take off often going from 1st to 2nd to 3rd I also love knocking it back to first when doing about 50km/h with my foot flat. I bet my box in standard form doesnt like that much!!

Well that's what I usually like doing but since ive had a rebuild on my box ive been to affraid to drive how I like which really annoys the hell out of me. its sort of like not having sex with a beatiful model because u dont have a condom, u dont know what might happen!! anyways I hope we got some box stengthening mods soon I want to start having fun with my beast again and the is also a Drag night on the 26th of march I think at eastern creek and its for rotaries 4's and 6's only. id love to debut my car with phase 3 and a reliable auto!!
