The set I got is pretty used, they were off a Porsche race car. I have a 275 rear on a 9.5". Mine hook up second gear very good on the street. Heaps better than my similar condition NT05s were. It might be a bit different trying to get it down out of corners on the track though.

I wouldn't be expecting many km from them with every day usage though.

The r888's are freakin awesome !!!

I have just put 295 30 19's on the rear and can honestly say these are the only tyres that can contain second gear on my car.

Thems are fighting words georgie !!!! Edited by jimmixr

Jimmy, you've got no idea how good these are man, these should be your next tyre.

I tested them with the boost controller on, they squirmed and threw me back in the seat.

Can't wait to test them out at the track

What size and tyre you running Jimmy?

The R888 in a 20" only comes in 315/30 or 285/35 for you. Same sizes as an NT01 which would be same spec tyre.

Or you could try the Hankook RS3 which comes in a 305/35. Going to be very limited in Motorsport style tyres for a 20".

But your prob on a 305/25???

Might be time to get those FR's out of the cupboard if you want to hook up over 400rwkw mate. :-)

Running 285/30.

Not an option going to a 35 profile

My only real option would be to go bCk to a 19...

I know 1st hand how savage georges BF is !! When he said they hold 2nd you can't help but take notice..

Doesn't help that I have a new set of invos ready to replace my current slicks lol

Yeah 285 35 would be the closest for you Jimmy.

The r888's are probably the same width as the Invo 305's.

Will definitely be sticking to these tyres from now on.

Just gotta get em a bit cheaper, may have to import them from Tirerack.

I think r888's in 265/30/19's on your Simmons would be unreal.
