As I mentioned above, there are other multiplier that would make it unlikey that you would see 14deg What do you mean? It will add fuel etc to stop it pinging, or it will not pull 14 degrees for some reason and will continue to ping? You cannot use nistune to tune these cars so continually bringing it up is pointless. If you choose to have you car tuned by a shop using SCT you'll need to Purchase an Xcal (Aprox 700) and then pay for the tuners time. I've not had my car tuned by a shop for many years but I would budget 1300 to 1500 for an intial Xcal Purchase and tune.SCT no longer offer the racer pro package. So as a hobbyist you cannot tune your car with SCT.There are other multipliers that will add and also subtract timing based upon numerous other conditions so it is unlikely the knock retard system would ever A: need to reduce timing by 14deg or B:have 14 deg of timing retard available.Im done now as this thread is starting to smell a bit Nistroll to me. I'm just asking questions to learn, sounds like you need a hug.

Then assuming there is no others coming into play it would be (desired ignition advance-(knock limit x multiplier table) For example say for high IATs there might be a multiplication factor of 1.15, that increase the base value by 15% then that number would be subtracted from the timing in the MBT table. It is a bit more complicated as there can be a few multiplier tables in effect in each calculation.
