PS: I believe after some more research, the National figures for resale of both vehicles respectively are predicted to be after a 3 year period ,49% of purchase value. so I spose you gotta spend money to save money .. I am wearing the cost so I will be getting a XR badged one . They are scary figures ...

l dont know how they research resale on the XR6T given there has never been a car to compare it to in Australia or anywhere else for that matter. l reckon 49% is too low, l am expecting/hoping for nearer to 60% provided insurance costs dont go ballistic in the coming years.

l still cant believe 49%, if this proves correct then Ford have a real long term issue with resale that needs addressing.

Part of my reason for forking out the extra for the XR6T over the NA version is a hunch that resale values may be better on this model.

Regardless of whether that happens, I guess I'll still be happy but here's hoping.

CDAA,

I havn't worried about the body moulds or mirrors as the car is leased and I will only have it for another 2 years, having said that I will be visiting Herrods in a couple of months to get the Headers fitted.

I truly believe that even as it sits now it would frighten the crap out of most stock LS1's, but it will be very interesting to see how many rkw's it is producing on the 12th of April so I can see what difference the Headers make.

I appreciate the positive comments about my toy and will post some pic's in the next day or so to show the changes.

Cheers, Bazza.

I don't mind what the resale value is, as long as it is above 45%... because that's what my lease residual is...

so I suppose 45% + GST = 49.5%... so if it stays 50% after 3 year, then I'll still come out of my lease happy.

Mind you, the way it's going I can jack out of my lease in about 3 months and not lose anything... because the cars are still selling like crazy!!!

NOT that I want to... I love my car... :)

I Got to drive an XR8 Auto the otherday while we had the Team Betta Electrical V8 Ford Falcon in the shop, I was amazed that it rev's not like a V8 but a 4. It is just so fast at getting around the rev band in fact it was quicker than our AU 6 cyl.

Felt very well tied down, nearly as good as my Mini Cooper, but with heaps more space
