Electrics On Passengers Side

Hi guys,
So I bought my first xr6 Turbo on the weekend.
Pretty stoked...very stoked actually.

Its a BA MKII ute. Anyway, its got a few electrical problems which I'm not sure how to go about.

Firstly none of the speakers on the passenger's side work. Not overly fussed about this because I've found some old power cable under the seat where the previous owner has obviously run an amp at some point so I believe getting the speakers up and running again wont be a massive issue, however I find it strange that the driver's side is fine.

Secondly, the power window on the passenger side is odd, I have full control over it from the drivers side but from the passengers side switch I can only make it go up and not down? Also the passengers side window operates slower than the drivers side.

And finally the little button on the ICC, (by the way what does ICC stand for? Sorry the only other cars I've had have been an AU 1 tonner and an XE panel van so its all a fair bit of a step up) the button that locks or unlocks the doors doesn't do anything. I know from the AU that even if the doors are open or closed there should still be an action from the locks but absolutely nothing happens in the BA.

I just find it strange that the problems are almost exclusive to the passengers side. It does just seem like loose connections and I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but if anyone else has had these problems and can save me some time messing around I'd be really appreciative.

Cheers

Have you gone through the settings in the ICC (interior command centre)?

The balance could be set to the drivers side only.

The passenger window switch could have worn contacts or just need a clean.

Had a bit of a look last night.
The balance is all fine. I had a look under the ICC and made sure the connections there were all in properly. The passenger window goes up and down now but still slowly..

Does anyone know what wire I have to look for in terms of the door locking button on the ICC? I had a go at getting the door skin off last night to have a look at it but I got grumpy because it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and it was Monday so I gave up and went and a beer.

Might be a dud switch. It will lift out of the door trim. Find another BA/BF and try another switch to see if that's the problem.

You can buy brand new switches for around $30 on Aliexpress.com Do a search for Falcon window.

You'll also need to lubricate the window guides with silicon spray to help the glass slide up and down.

I use this can, because I like how the tube can flip up for getting the spray into the window guides:
