That stuff is like putty and dries like stone once hard which is pretty quick! I've used it for heaps of fixes over the years and make sure you keep your hands damp as it'seasier to smooth out plus doesn't stick to you like peanut sh*t...That's what I'd try first.There's a few different brands, stick to a quality brand like loctite etc.I carry this stuff when I'm out bashing the bike thru the bush and have seen many successful repairs on radiators and crankcases in let's say , less than clean conditions.It's good sh!t. Was intended to be a short term fix and was expecting the radiator to fail elsewhere and then I would replace the radiator, but it lasted a long time (till the car went to the wreckers as just too old).It worked so well that when the same car had a welch plug fail, I used it to repair that too, and it worked there as well.I would not hesitate to use it on a temporary repair of the cooler if I was in your position.
