Warranty? Theres such a thing? Lol

Ive done 4500kms and have shudder on medium to heavy braking. Only 4 months old...

Should I be trying to scam new replacement parts or what?

I was told that cause I had my caliper slides regreased; I may have caused the warp because pins were not even or something...so I would think RDA would be stingy and look for any opportunity to get out of replacing them

Hmmmm....have you been trying to deal with RDA directly Dan? Or just the supplier who sold them?

Neither yet I think - he just bought the car - previous owner did all the brake changes (another reason warranty probably won't follow)

I think all he want's to do now is get it properly sorted - First point of call would be the shop that fitted them to see if they are likely to give any help. Next point would be someone he sources to fix it.

Just read those replies gents,

The work was done by an accredited workshop. I've been dealing with RDA directly, Matt from Racebrakes Sydney, the seller and the shop that got the stock in and installed them.

I don't think I'm being stingy or unreasonable by see what RDA can do to form some resolution.

Xtrmn8 - It'll be T3's for sure :spoton: Not gonna waste any more time, but am keen to see what the workshop can do about it.

Rab, the pads are fairly dusty so I'd say ultimates. The shop put on 'performance' rotors at the request of the owner. Not sure who made the final call but sadly the RDA's are a joke. I think I'll leave the braided lines to be honest - I'm thinking a good quality silicone fluid plus some T3's and whatever Matt from racebrakes recommends - Bremtech endures/Ferodo's etc...

Nitro - I've been dealing with everyone hahaha. I understand rotors and pads and consumables are hard to provide warranty for, but 10,000km's? Seriously? Even ultimates on stock rotors wouldn't chew them out for 50,000ms I'd say...

Cheers guys,

Dan

Seems like you've got it under control :) (will stop trying to answer for you lol)

You've definitely taken the reigns on this one and getting it sorted. Looking forward to seeing the resolution.

Hahaha thanks Rab :spoton:

I'll look into it a bit more and see what comes of it.

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks GeGe6,

I'll have a look into it when I settle on a new set-up for the car. This has kinda turned into the, "NVT Vs. RDA" thread hahahaha

Anyways, back to the vehicle; I've already said some of these but I can't remember which and I'm too lazy to go back to read it hahahaha!

Plastidipped front fog light covers black

Plastidipped rear G6E Turbo badge

Removed rear windscreen sticker

Had diff bushes replaced, alignment and full suspension check done

Put old custom plates back on; nothing interesting I'm afraid - Just the AA 00 WA style.

Given it a good wash, vac and blackened tyres

Just a couple of things to do now and she'll be done :spoton:

Cheers,

Dan

It's always a couple things to be done

Next minute the engine will be out and dropping a forged one in

This is how it starts

NVT, congrats on the purchase and I am pretty sure you are chuffed.

IN regards to the shudder, I can confirm that I had the same issue, even though I had stock rotors and pads.

I have mentioned this a few times and will say it again. When I got my car tuned and I took it out on my first few runs, I almost ran into the back of another car due to lack of brakes and shudder.

I was speeding as I wanted to make the lights to turn right. I got into the right lane at 100km/h and hit the brakes.

No brakes and a heap of shudder. I was l lucky that no one was in the left lane. I swapped lanes and made a u turn at the next set of lights.

I got all my gear as part of a group buy I organised through race brakes sydney. Speak to Matt as I am sure he will look after you. I got the braided lines for all four corners.

I got T3 for the fronts and left the rears stock. I got braided lines for all four corners too.

This made a huge difference in the brakes. No longer did it feel spongy when depressing and pressing the brakes.

The distance the brake pedal had to travel was reduced significantly.

Then there was the bite feel as well. It just wanted to bite and brake, where as before it was like driving a boat.

You turn the motor off and wait for the boat to slow down.

Once the rotors were changed, I no longer had any shudder what so ever.

I was going to go with RDA and I did visit their wholesale shop in welshpool, but the guy did not instill confidence and so I gave them a miss.

Stick with RDA, NOT!!!!!!

;)

I hope you are given the option to upgrade to T3s. Fingers crossed
