I'd hate to work in Mt. Thomas. I mean look how busy they are and how many major crimes occur at a country station like that. The stress must be enormous when they have so few coppers to work with ;)

But the clean up rate is 100% !!!!.

I mean turning nothing into a solid pinch, how do they do it. I cant watch any of those shows, too busy picking it to pieces. Simpsons now that's reality TV

curious, and the other boys in blue...

are there any shows that come close to reality? CSI?

Policing in America, I would not associate any of it to the way its done here. The best reality Police depection is the Aussie movie "The interview" with Hugo WEAVING. that's how it operates. Check it out when you have some time

CSI is so far detached from reality that it should be billed as a comedy. Granted I only watched 2 episodes, but life is too short to waste on that sort of garbage.

Just my 2c worth.

The most life like Police series I have ever seen would have to be have been Phoenix and Janus which were screened on the ABC many years ago.

I was at the Armed Holdup Squad at the time, and the parallels that were drawn were amazing. It was very very lifelike.

In the movie 'Two Hands' there are some quite chillingly realistic scenarios's, especially the one where the Houso' scrotes are plotting and commiting the armed robbery on the Credit Union.

The Sweeney did have an element of truth in it, especialy the way Jack and George operated.

The other show that has a 'reality' scenario about is is CHiPS. The fact that motorcycle cops get all the chicks.......is very true !!

The most accurate shows have been already mentioned by Plonky and Curious. The Interview is outstanding, as were Janus and Phoenix. Early episodes of The Bill rang true. Networks like the ABC actually do proper research before showing a new Police program so they end up with more credible shows, but then something like Police Rescue chucks a spanner in the works. Don't even get me started about that Stuart Diver telemovie. I was in Rescue at the time and got called out but couldnt move with the virus I had. Several mates of mine were hands on with the extraction of Stuart and they nearly vomited when they saw the show, then again it was on Ch10, home (or former home) of White Collar Blue

Its the yank shows where coppers argue at crime scenes in front of victims etc that really sh*t me
