I do agree with what you're saying about things being symmetrical and back in the days that the OP speaks of I remember taking my HQ to many different car shows (in SA and Mildura) and seeing heaps of custom paint jos such as this but with a totally different image on each side.

I like this - +1 - well done and I agree, should be more of it ..

I love it but I hate it..

DAMNIT Y U SO KONFLICTED!!!!

Work looks brilliant but I have this thing.. (Shrink calls it OCD or something).. But I can't handle logos/stickers (or pictures apparently) on cars that aren't mirrored/symmetrical.. I want the driver side to be perfectly mirrored to the passenger side..

Artwork looks sensational though mate.

I was originally going to have the same on both sides but the guy who did it said that he does each side different because when people see one side and then look at the other they just say oh, it's the same, so I went with the different designs.

This guy also painted the Maiden on the nose of the Virgin Blue planes and does tribute cars.

I get my rocks off on any sort of military aircraft old or new.

The mural looks really good and very authentic.

Would I put one on my car???

Absolutely no fuggin chance even if you paid me and guaranteed me it'd pull hot chicks!

I lived thru the 70s and 80s and hated it then.

But if it works for you then go for it, it's your car.

However I do like this sort of thing......5u5y5yty.jpg

And am seriously thinking of painting my XA HARDTOP in a similar theme.

Each to there own.......makes the world go round,

Cheers and welcome.

Y U NO PAINT BAK?

Watch this space, the guy who did it is itching to do just that and also the bonnet, I'll see what he has in mind and who knows?

Back on topic: Car definitely stands out - how long and what was involved?

2 Weeks to do, you just tell the guy what your after, I had a model of the jet and was an RAAF special colour scheme in 2005 so had lots of pics.

Love it. Its a great effect. I too love planes and aviation. We have owned a couple of planes in our time. Beechcraft Baron and a Ceesna 210 Turbo. Not as fast as your Fighter.lol

Nice work Mate.

Have you replaced the seatbelt with a Harness. I heard a Hornet pilot say that he strapped his jet onto him, as if it was a jet pack ( backpack ).

HUD would be good too, wouldn't it?

It looks really good, particularly on nitro for obvious reasons. But you have set the bar very high for the rest of your mods.

I can see this turning into an aviation themed show car. That paintwork is just to good for a daily.
