Holds gears longer for more power and torque delivery. Chews a lot more gas. Changes can be harsh. I think it only changes into 6th at 140Kph or something like that? I've driven a lot of N/A ZF FG's (and a few T's) and they all shift way smoother than my BF ZF. It's not an age thing because my car has only 50k on the clock.
