700cc injectors start with stock injector parameters. But I dont think your gonna get far with 1000cc inj.

Just buy HP Tuners, chuck in the injector data, adjust overboost, adjust one line in the timing map and you are ready for a thrash. ,

Well that is how u learnt obviously .....

ONE LINE TIMING MAP 4TW

Just out of interest Jet I did want to see what would happen with stock injector parameters and 700cc injectors . The OP did asked a valid question and it did trim enough to idle the car and I think it would have driven it provide you kept in closed loop. I never tried to drive it, Just a start for a minuite.

My only adjustment to the Ford Australia tune ATM is :

The injectors dialed in,

Overboost threshold adjusted

Last line in borderline knock table adjusted a little.

Ford Australia did the tune at their tuning facility. I just made some adjustments to it. And the engine responds the way I want it.

and I also installed ID1000's into a BF2 XR6T and "just to see" tried to start it.... After what seemed an excessive time cranking would not fire, after adding "our ID scalers" started after 2 cranks

So in my own testing correct to the OP's question ( not a variation of his question) I made the call and highly think its correct

There is a vast difference between getting a car running and making the ecu work its arse off keeping it within "spec" and having a tune correct to hardware and working well within parameters

If you have changed the last line of the BLK table and have no logging to support why and what u changed it to u have created another average tune

Congrats

Don't bother trying to start it with 1000's. Either get the safe tune from where you're taking it or trailer it (or let them install them)

Get your auto club to trailer it to the tuners. I organised it with 2 phone calls and no visit from the mobile guy

Save little coin at least.

How much would you be saving compared to just getting the tuner to install them once you got there?

(or change them yourself onsite before pushing the car into the workshop)

Ok sounds like it may not crank but if it does run it may not trim enough to drive, I will almost certainly trailer it, was just curious. I might just sign up to RAA and get the "free" tow, I don't think they need to know my injectors have been swapped.

I'll report back with if it does run just for lols. Thanks for the replies.

that's the scary part I think hes being honest :/

Yeah there are lots of 2 runs of WOT tuners out there, I think the guy who tuned the car before I got it did that as it is rubbish.

Probably a few hundred at least, installing injectors is easy, plus I've only ever done other cars so would like to learn my way around the 4L engine bay for future. A Saturday afternoon is free for me if I learn something out of it.

Was thinking along those lines.

I'd imagined the injector swap would be one of the quicker and easier part of any work (but I could be wrong)

Would a few hundred to do it be a realistic charge using customer supplied injectors?
