Hi guys, first post, good to be here.

I have this question on AFF but got no responses so I was looking for your help.

To those of you who race your BF or FG Falcon sedan can you please school me on what diff bushes your using (front and rear bushes).

What brand? Solid or voided?

What sort of racing are you doing? Strip or circuit?

How long do they last? How often do you change them?

When/if they fail what has been the cause? Split or torn out sleeve?

How bad is vibration and noise?

Any other information you care to share would be great. You can PM me if you would prefer not to disclose this info publicly.

Thanks very much

Have a read of one of my previous posts about diff bushes bud, might help. Essentially you want to lock the front of the diff down and allow a little bit of movement at the rear, otherwise you'll start shattering bolts and hats.

For racing, run the cat600s.

I broke a superpro comfort in 2000km of fitting them, split and the sleeve came out.

With 2 circuit days though. Stock power, auto car.

I have used the Superpro comfort centre diff bush for many years without issue on the circuit, running wide grooved slicks and a Truetrac. Also have 2 side bushes by Superpro.

Have not tried the solid or CAT centre bush so cannot comment.

Seaton has experience with a few diff bushes used at the circuit, and I would go with his recommendation to be safe.

Same as the cat600 sides with that style also used for the centre.

I broke a set of super pro comforts within 1,000km on the street in my manual FG turbo.

I remember reading that Daniel (CAT600) trialled a rear centre bush design similar to his front bushes but they produced way too much NVH. After a bunch of testing he settled on the older Nolathane centre design as the best one that worked well with his solid front bushes yet didn't introduce crazy amounts of NVH.

Yep, got one of those Nolathane in my toolbox waiting.

But if we are specifically talking about racing. Noise or vibrations is not an issue.

True, but I think part of Daniel's reasoning was also that the Nolathane allows enough movement to minimise damaging the bolt or hat, not just NVH.

I went superpro solid center, comfort sides!

In 2 years never broken one and never broken a bolt or diff hat.

With way over 400rwkw and a very very harsh th400 I'm amazed they have lasted. Don't know if it's luck or what!

Done atleast 100 1/4 passes and a lot of skids & hard driving.

I can't rate them highly enough.

Sounds more luck than anything. I initially had the same setup as you in my FG XR6T Kosij (solid centre with comfort fronts) but I was told by Scott from super pro not that I shouldn't be running that setup. They then carried the cost of having solid fronts put in for me.
