Will I need something like this ... http://pages.ebay.co...EBAY-AU&alt=web out of a bfmk2 turbo or perhaps a whole engine or just build rods and pistons. I'm particularly looking for the most cost effective approach. Thanks

timwds Member 54 Member For: 13y 14d Gender: Male Location: Tamworth Posted 05/09/14 05:12 AM Share Posted 05/09/14 05:12 AM There are plenty of low 300Kw Ba's around. If you can handle a few less Kw stick with your BA engine, if it goes bang replace it with a BF engine. My understanding of the differences between the two is rods, pistons, timing cover and ecu. Please correct me if I'm wrong.Guys, do BA's have one or two knock sensors?

B series sump needs to be used, oil pickup needs to be moved which requires re torquing a main cap. Dip stick needs to be tapped in a diff spot on the block and an engine mount needs to be moved. There is a great thread on AFF about installing an fg block in a b series.
