Towards the end of this year I am looking at purchasing a fg xr6 turbo, I'm wanting to know will parts for the xr6 turbo become more expensive and harder to come buy as ford are going to discontinue this range in the next few years, I'm just thinking ahead, if I ever need something replaced on the motor or anything mechanical will there still be parts available and at what cost? I will also be doing some mods such as exhaust, intercooler, cold air intake, injectors and tune will there still be aftermarket pars readily available? And so do I .I also have a manual but I love that ZF gearbox, it suits the turbo so well and is great for overtaking with a full load on board.Buy one, you will not be disappointed with the performance !!! My whole life I have driven manual cars so I think it's time for the auto for comfortable cruising plus bigger sedans like the ford been a manual will probably get tiring after a while. I like to go for spirited drives around the great ocean road, I used to have the xr5 turbo and that handled like it was on rails, I know the fg will not handle like the xr5 but I'm still after a good handling vehicle.
