The lemon is at the shop getting the engine and box bolted back together up on a hoist after I shattered the sump mounts trying to tighten it. The mechanic just range me up and said he has it about 5mm from being together but it just gets tight and wont go any further together.

Is there any tips or something im missing that could be stoppping them going together? I know the locating pins have a small ridge, would that be the issue? myself aswell as the mechanic are at our whits end. surely it cant be that hard?

Box is '04, engine is '04/'05

imagine trying to do it in the driveway, yeh I did. Smashed 3 mounts off the sump where the engine and box bolt together, all because of this stupid bearing I couldn't see!
