Hey all

Just recently my car has started making an ear piercing whining/squeaking whilst driving sometimes it goes but then comes back I gotta drive with window up an music on just so I dont have to listen to it

I was thinking maybe the rotors there cross drilled an slotted should I just get them shimmed theres heaps of meat left on the pads

What else could be the issue

Thanks

Michael

Easy one.

Tell the girlfriend to be quiet.

Other than leaving the GF at home when you go for a drive (was going to be my suggestion til I saw it was done):

Does the whine go away if you use the brakes?

Can you try and narrow it down when it happens and when it stops? Speed, airflow, revs, constant whine or up/down etc)

Are there red/blue flashing lights in the rear view happening at the same time?

(seriously though - line 2 and 3 are worth reading/answering)

Hand brake somehow sticking? Pulley on the way out?

Get someone to push a mate along on a skateboard next to the car at 10km/h and listen to see where it's coming from :wwww:
