Guest AEC Guests Posted 17/09/07 01:55 AM Share Posted 17/09/07 01:55 AM Hi guys,I know there are a few P-platers here in VIC with XR6T's, which are clearly over the power to weight ratio. I was just wondering, do you guys ever get pulled over? Or do you just debadge the car? Do the police actually check car make and model at an RBT? or just a random pull over? Because, as much as I'd love to have one, the risk is a bit high in my opinion.

Your decision, take the badges off, see how you go, wait a little longer and save more money for future mods!

If cash is not in abundance, buy something reliable, safe and cheap to run for now and enjoy not worrying about the cops pulling you up all the time (not to mention insurance worries etc). Put the cash you saved into a fund and make a call in 3-4 years time. Even if you have the cash, you have to ask yourself if you'd be comfortable taking the risk.I think you have worked out the risk factor yourself anyway. Good luck with the decision.
