No offence taken but what can you say??? There are all types of ppl where some get their p's as soon as they turn 18 (like myself) and there are some that have never driven a car their whole lyfe?

I mean, who cares what ppl think its what makes you happy and if some ppl choose not to drive or to drive at a later stage than so be it. :werd:

She may need to drive it, but is not allowed by law, plus your insurance will be useless in the event of a prang. Not worth it mate, for her future driving and also on you and your F6.

The law will just say, "well you could have sold your nice FPV and bought something more suitable".

I dunno about in VIC, but up here in QLD pregnant or new mother is one of the much approved exemptions... having a 40k (or whatever yours is) debt and 'financial hardship as a young couple with a new child' having to purchase another car, or sell this one and replace it with a different car would still leave you unbearably out of pocket and would make it impossible to live. (my missus works for wld transport up here, and she told me to get you to word it like that).

Varaitch is on the money.

I work for VicRoads and that is the process to follow to get an exemption in Vic.

If you don't get one in your circumstances, you've fukd the application up somewhere.

I tend to agree that you will be granted an exemption. I would state in the application that you are suffering financial hardship and that you have exhausted all avenues. I would highlight that the pregancy was unplaned and that you current financial situation would mean that by selling the car you would be faced with high additional costs due to your financial agreement. So what do you need to address, 1 Financial hardship, 2 High costs associated in terminating current loan (makes bad financial sense, and huge loss to sell car) 3 unplanned pregancy has interupted future plans, however, your child will need to see doctors etc. Therefore, if is important that the child is not placed at risk due to government laws. I am certain if you present your arguement in this format you will be successful, cheers

I know someone who is on green p's and is ripping out a $40,000 loan to purchase a 2nd hand FG XR6 Turbo.

Just wondering, will vic roads let him register it in his name or not? and what happens if he is caught driving it?

Cheers fellas
