People are so caught up in the me-first mentality (it's not their fault though) that they don't appreciate what they have - only what they don't, or what could be taken away from them. Makes me f*cking sick. The most intelligent comment so far.consider yourselves lucky you can even buy a car, even if it is just a corolla. You are better off than 90% of the world. Get over yourselves and all the "me, me, me, me" crap. You live in one of the best countries in the world and yet you are whining about some law that's attempting to help save lives. Just to put fuel in your performance car is a joy that many will never know. Some of you need some perspective other than a mirror.
-MARTY54- Member 124 Member For: 15y 10m 13d Posted 10/08/09 11:42 AM Share Posted 10/08/09 11:42 AM (edited) Alcohol or drug use is a HUGE contributing factor along with speed for accidents/deaths on the road. Personally I can't believe that drunk drivers don't have their cars confiscated on the spot, first offense. They are the biggest problem if you ask me, along with 'P'plate drivers' attitude.Blame all the idiot 'P' platers out there who drive like complete morons. Minority perhaps, but there are heroes everywhere... or so they think. Edited 10/08/09 11:51 AM by -MARTY54-

xrt Member 160 Member For: 16y 4m 23d Posted 15/10/09 09:44 AM Share Posted 15/10/09 09:44 AM im assuming your in a state where its illegal for a p plater to drive turbos/v8s? as fir the insurance theres no real point in having you on the policy at all because if you crash while driving it, being a p plater your not going to be covered anyway.de badging it might attract a little less attention but when cops run rego checks they find what sort of car it is and who its registered to anyways, not to mention the big turbo sticking out from the side of your motor your best bet is to drive with you p plates down and if you get pulled over accept to $100 fine for no plates, or what ever it is.its all a pretty big hassle, I live in WA so the laws dont apply here, when I was on my p's I had a v8 then I bought my turbo a month or 2 before I finished my p's :D
