I know a lot of ppl my age who have been in accidents. I kno a lot of people my age who have performance cars (SS's, XR6T's, Pursuit, TE 50, WRX's, GTR's). One thing that I don't know is A SINGLE ONE of my M8's that has both a performance car AND has been in a crash.

I really need to go do more HW before I really get started with the government insults, but I really, really, really, really, seriously, hate wa*ker, pathetic, looser beuocratic cock sucks that use us to cover their arse in a lame dick effort to look good.

what happens to the people that already own cars on the list when the laws come in? will they be forced to sell them? I'm sure there's going to be some people getting away with driving them claiming they can't sell the cars, or it's putting them out financially!

I'm gunna try and buy mine reallllly soon to spite the wankers. besides, I imagine the legislation will take some time to go through parliment and become effective.

I'd imagine they could not take cars off people wh allready had them, that is most certainly against the law

Even during the day time it is almost impossible for even the most observent to spot those new green P-plates, insuating that an old POS pollie (who is obviously blind as he cant see how full of sh*t he is) could spot P-plates on said hooning cars who "flashed past him" is a pile of sh*t.

Makes me sick that people, specially' respectable people on a forum like this, could possibly support this mellishous, sickening, generalisation about P-platers.

Premier Carpenter, I am all for lowering the road toll and getting rid of dickheads who cut up on public roads. Banning P-platers from high performance cars will do jack sh*t. Get real and do something serious instead of insinuating this rediculous crap.

I cant work this out! It appears that anybody who has a high performance car is now a hoon. But give me a Yaris or a Daewoo and I could still chuck donuts and "try" and drag . Just the other week I pulled up at some lights and a young fella in a Dawoo Matiz tried to engauge me in a run..... What the Hell! If a coppa was around I would have been the one who they had a chat to. While he floored it as the lights turned green and I just sat there laughing I wondered.... what are these people on. I dont know the answer but high power doesnt equal hoon.

Im not too sure how well the Dawoo driver would have faired if he hit something.... they arent very ... sturdy...

What a load of What will banning do? You will just be giving them more time to save for a higher power more modded vehicle.

Oh yeah and the green P plates are a joke you cant see them at all.

My 1st car (yes I was a p plater along time ago) was a Cortina, it still had more go than a 5ltr commadore back then, the problem hasnt changed in 20+ years they just still cant find a solution.

If you blokes can honestly tell me that with some of the silly sh*t that P platers do, it would not be safer to be in a car that will put them in a "situation" slower than a performance car.

An xr6turbo can turn around the wrong way very quickly, and it happens alot to "experienced drivers" aswell. It also goes like the clappers.

A corrolla for example, you may be able to get it to spin one day, if your really trying to, and it may also get to 100 km/hr one day, again if your really trying. It also means that most people, as they grow up, realise that's there is no use in a flogging a dead horse, so they won't hoon around as much, cos their horse is dead.
