RTA have boom cameras all the way down the Pacific and New England Highways. Might be worth a call.

They'd only record if there was an incident or if they were doing analysis on a certain road for traffic flow etc

Otherwise it would be an insane amount of data they need to be storing

If they're anything like wa a general public member can't just ring up and go "hey can you check this camera for us bro?"

With all these cameras in the road. It will be recorded. You would think police or insurance investigator would have access though.

Sorry to hear mate, looks like a nice ride

They are traffic cameras not security cameras. It will most likely not be recorded - trust me

Even if it is recorded it will probably not be zoomed in enough to get license plates

The sceptic in me believes everything is recorded. Whether it's ever admited or not is the question.

Ever had mates withe top secret plus security clearances.

Look at what phones they use. What tvs laptops they use etc etc.

^^ all traffic observation cameras I have seen these days are HD.. Live ones viewable on certain govy websites are compressed to appear sh*t and grainy..

In the traffic control rooms I can tell you how many people are in a car with tinted windows..

But you need to be the police to get access to the footage.. Even insurance mobs have to go through the police if they want access..

Most of the footage is stored for 21-28 days from memory..

Anyone on here an insurance agent. Are there any coppers still active?

I'm curious to know just how useful these cameras could be.
