Every now and then whilst traversing the xr6turbo forum, you may come across a 'Double Post' despite the best efforts of the sites admin and moderators to delete them where/when possible.

For those that are new to internet forums, a Double Post (one meaning at least) is where a member has posted the exact same thing - one post after another (in immediate succession).

Most likely, but obviously not all the time, the cause of this stems from a fault in the coding of the Tapatalk App that is used to read forums such as this one on your phone etc. and is available from either the App Store or Google Play.

_____________

Why does Tapatalk Double Post every now and then??

As I said earlier but please don't quote me coz I may be wrong, It's probably because there is a fault in the coding of the App.

When you hit the 'send' button, it contacts the forums server to write your post into the thread that you're replying too but every now and then, the app will get confused and think that it hasn't connected to the server correctly but, in almost every case (unless you are in a low internet signal strength area) it has indeed connected and has written your comments to the thread.

This happens to me every now and then, how can I stop the Tapatalk App from Double Posting??

If I was a certain admin, I would say "don't use the stupid friggen App" but I'm not…….hehe

After you have hit the send button, if Tapatalk shows a note on the screen like the one towards the bottom of the pic below, please do not hit the send button again (in case you don't know, 'send' the right facing arrow thingy). As I said above, it is more than likely that your post was successfully added and Tapatalk just got confused.

If you ever see this note on the screen (or something saying basically the same thing), hit the ‘back’ button on your phone until Tapatalk asks if you want to ‘Cancel - Save or Discard’ your post. Please Discard it and then using the options button in Tapatalk, hit ‘Refresh’ and scroll to the bottom of the page where you should see your post.

Oh and by the way, if you are using Tapatalk, please go into the Apps options and turn off the Signature just to keep that same 'certain' admin happy.

Cheers :drinks:

*Note: Ignore the screen shot admin doesnt give a :pooh: if the app doesnt work.

(How would you contact admin if the connection failed anyway...) :joy:

*Footnote:

If whilst using the app, you are presented with the aforementioned error, please ignore the suggestion that you check with the forum administrators, in fact, please do not contact the administrators with this problem because it has come to my attention that they don't give a electrical.gif
