Got My Bonnet Resprayed

Guys,

I got my bonnet resprayed as I had some pretty bad stone chips on it, that I couldn't bare to look at it anymore.

I picked up the car last night, and when I got home I had a look at it under the fluro lights in my car port, and the colour of the bonnet looks a bit off from the colour on the guards.

The colour is nitro blue.

Is it unreasonable of me to expect an exact paint match, when just the bonnet was painted with no blending in of the guards etc...

I know you will never get it 100%, whenever you paint just one panel, but what are people thoughts or experiences on this.

Actually I did mention to the panel beater if the guards needed to blended in etc...but he said no need...

Even though I asked him again, if he was sure it didn't need to be blended in...

I just thought I would leave it to the professionals to work it out...but it looks like I should have pushed the issue and got the guards blended in.

If he had told me that the guards needed to be blended in, I would have complied...I just went on his advice...

LOL...dam those fluro lights...believe me, you don't want to be looking at your car under those fluro lights...you will get depressed...lol

Just like the good old disco days, when you thought she was a good sort until the lights went on at the end of the night...then you had to pull off the old left stage right exit, Benny Hill sprint...

back in teh day I had the passenger side resprayed on my vs Late model camira due to someone side swiping it (yes yes a commodore) anyway (still have it too), the front guard was teh onypice not scratched/f*cked, was gonna cost to much to repair through insurance so got a pay out and got a ex panel beater to do it cheaply. He said he does not like blending, he said he could do it but 9 times out of 10 unless the paints are exact you will still notice it over time. so he just resprayed the whole left (Rubens red) and I cannot tell any difference

I never argued with him, only cost me 1200 and that was for 2 doors, redo rear guard fix the Bpiller and a few other sh*t and repaint....
