I noticed as the filter I had purchased was the shorter/fatter Z516 and it was obviously not for the car as BF and up changed to this.Does this mean my engine is in fact a BA motor? So this opens up a few problems for me, as I was under the impression I had the stronger F6 internals. Is there Some way I can verify the internals of my engine. Is it possible to change the sump whilst retaining the stronger F6 bits. Also it's worrying to know why this change was made in the first place. I'm actually really disappointed about this.I was hoping I could get some help on this as I'm confused as F@ck.Thanks Ed

Z9 and Z516 are different size thread's. No reason a Dec 07 BF should have that filter other than its a BA block... In my non professional opinion. BUT there is the two knock sensors thing on bf onwards so im not sure how you would go about fitting a ba bottom end in there.

It must be a ba bottom end Edited 21/08/14 08:54 AM by barnz
