Fantastic day,  and a lot of info to absorb

Thanks to all the guys at APS for taking the time on a weekend for

us like minded people.  I especially liked all the aspects in relation to

doing other mods which may impede the performance when time comes

to chipping.  I will be leaving my 'T' stock standard until the day arrives

when I go stage 1.5 or possibly 2.  Very interesting to note that you

can have loss of power if things aren't matched up properly.

Just hoping that my 'T' doesn't have that valve problem as noted on

the C2R run---  loss of around 25kw !

Looking forward also to APS's 'other' developments.

Regards,

Daniel

Hey Daniel glad you enjoyed the afternoon we certainly covered a lot of issues and its a lot to absorb in 4 hours. All APS staff who worked on the day were quite impressed with the level of knowledge you guys possesed regarding the T and we also thought that questions asked by forum members demonstrated a real desire to learn more about the xr6t......well done guys.

The valve spring issue is becoming more prevalent as we enhance more xr6t engines, no doubt Ford have a serious issue on their hands though at least some of the better Ford dealers are addressing the issue now. :hrmm:

It does not take much additional exhaust back pressure (on some engines with soft/weak valve springs) to cause a miss at full load/power as seen by the guys on saturday who attended the unichip demo day. :(

Again thanks to all forum members for being part of the day, we hope to organise another day later in the year. :ta:
