Maybe your oil is to cold. How big is the external cooler you put on?

And are the lines big enough, remember longer cooler lines need to be bigger as well

Cooler isn't that big and last service it wasn't filled up based on L, but supposedly the correct fill method. Lines should be big enough, its the kit my tuner uses on all their falcons

Sounds like I'm going to have to get the oil level check again!

and... maybe change your coils. Did mine and noticed the quirky cold stuff was nowhere near as prevalent this morning. Could be a coincidence however.

Yup, running stock gap and a spark booster of some description is the way to go imho. These cars drive so much better with decent gaps and strong spark.

I had the same fluctuating rpm after my trans cooler was installed. Turned out the people that did it didn't top the oil back up. After it drank about 800ml of life guard it's been fine every since, even when stone cold in the morning at 3c.

Yea but we get down to -5c here and the car hates early morning and late night starts lol

Booked the car in for next wednesday. Without seeing it they think either an oil related issue or converter issue. Never heard of problems with converters so hopefully its not that

Cheers for the input guys

Looks like it was the lock up clutch failing, ended making the box do some weird stuff when the rubbish went through it but the engine revs would fluctuate a couple if hundred revs at steady road speed
