I started this thread before in the fordforums however no assistance or reply posts. Was wondering if someone here in the turbo community can be of assitance.Hi all, looking at upgrading my daily driver (AU 6cyl). Having a BA xr8 as a weekender im not sure if I want to spend more money on it as I have a soft spot for this car and I don’t like to thrash it, hence why I want a BA xr6t to thrash around in (daily and track).I’m looking at buying the BA 4 speed and not the BF 6speed. Basically although the 6speed is the best box going around I hate the idea of it breaking and the repair cost being above 4gs. As opposed to the 4speed that I can just wack in any BA 4speed from the wreckers and get that strengthened while I drive around in the slipping 4 speed. So I need some critique on this build cost and my idea. I guess there is a hidden agenda for everything. Basically I want to wipe the smirk of a certain VE ss owners face at the track. These prices are basic research prices and not exact figures. So please, go nuts, critique away. Also in terms of RWKW and torque at the wheels, although speculative based on the condition of the car. what would the expectations be with this build? Any estimates of 1/4 mile times?CAI: $450.00Replace old coils: $160.00Exhaust Full: $1400.00Oil: $50.00Injectors: $350.00Oil filter: $15.00Fuel pump: $500.00Spark Plugs: $80.00Actuator: $190.00Valve Springs Fitted: $800.00P/WestIntercooler: $1050.00Earl inline oil filter: $150.00Tune: $1000.00Purchase of Car: $8000.00Tyres x2 rear $750.00 All up about 15k

Those mods will take you to the limit of the box.

Some just bore a bigger hole while others port the passage behind for better flow and boost control. There are good threads on this in this forum you just need to use the search function. You might spend an extra $2k on the car with zf but that auto will hate you with that power and especially at the track. In saying that I had a mate kill a zf with 320rwkw so depends on how you drivedon't use anything other than genuine coilsI think genuine are around $300ish but from what I heard aftermarket just don't cut itIt varies from shop to shop. Probably $1k removed, port job and refitted. This is imperative to control boost with a bigger exhaust
