From a fair wack of experiance with turbosmart actuators ( 7&12 psi ) you need far less preload than garrett actuators as they are strong springed items even though all "rated" actuators should perform as listed

You can quite easily blow into 18-20 psi territory with initial desired boost levels

Also not all turbosmart actuators are equal but this is another story, in the end we strongly suggest and used genuine garrett actuators for repeatability and end results

Gunna I feel u need to bite the bullet and go for the tune shop of choice to

Supply and fit an actuator

Retune

Then sell off the turbosmart one .....

This is about the best for your situation honestly

Gunna I'm cheering for ya buddy, looking forward to when you get it all sorted out. Should be a ripper, I know because I have similar power to your engine when it was in the last car. Just wish I could help with what the problems are!

well, they run it up on the dyno and it had 262 rwkw and 806 nm . They then phoned me and said that the 440 Bosch injectors were on there limit .They suggested to go to id 1000 .All I could say was just do it ,I want to see 310 rwkw . In the time that they waited for the injectors to arrive, they had a bit of a tune with it and ended up with about 290 rwkw .But they had lots of problems with low down boost fluctuating up and down (from 1000rpm to 3000 rpm ).They just could not work out what was wrong.

After work I went and called in to see how it all was going . The worker that was changing the injectors then explained the problems they were facing . I then asked if it may be the flapper mod that I had done that did not seal 100%. His reply was that would certainly not help and thought that that may be why they are unable to tune it down low . To eliminate some problems I just asked him to change the actuator to a 12 psi f6 one ,and throw the turbosmart one in the bin.

So in all fairness RDP had done a ok job to get it to where it was ,just would have been nice if they would have spend a bit of time diagnosing the car . I would have said just fix it
