I bought the nut from Jefferson Ford and have a nut splitter to take the old one off with https://www.jeffersonfordparts.com.au/new-genuine-ford-ef-el-xh-au-power-steering-hose-f I am not that good mechanically and cant find a local mechanic that will replace the nut for me so it looks like I am going to be forced to try doing this mysellf. I don't have access to a workshop and live in an apartment that has off street parking so I will have to try and do it myself there. My question is would I have to pull the whole pipe off or will just unscrewing it from the power steering unit be enough for me to be able to access the nut, split it, and replace it? I did it successfully with an angle grinder, you'll have no worries at all with a nut splitter.

Looking at these youtube videos and they look like they might be an easier fix

Mine is different than the one in the video, there is a flare on either end of the nut that holds it in one position.
