Rang ford today about the top wishbone arms on the f6 and they wanted the vin. Rekons there are about 5 different part numbers for them. Whats the difference with the arms or is it the bushes?

The bushes vary a little, but the arms are all the same - the spare parts guy is being a lazy *beep*...

So the arms are exactly the same dimensions? Cause they want $400 per arm and there are arms on eBay for $120 each. I wonder if the eBay arms are any good.

That's the million dollar question - ebay arms are usually ok but the ball joint or bushes won't last long.

Can I suggest leaping under the car and making sure all the suspension mounting bolts are tight?

My F6 (albeit a B Series) developed a squeak over low speed bumps.

I found both LHS top wish bone bolts where loose. The metal locknut's had lost their "lock" (they are metal Tri-Lock/Squish Nuts) and hence both bushes where squeaking.

I got some replacement nuts from Caterpillar (Ford have discontinued) installed them and torqued at ride height and the noise is gone.
