Check your upper and lower control arm bushes, plus the swaybar links and d-bushes. How many kays has your car got on it?

Mine has 140000kms on it with stock bushes.

Is it symptomatic of a worn bush or a ruined one?

A worn bush is a ruined one waiting to happen...lol

It would suggest that a bushing somewhere has cracked and is allowing excessive movement or water and road grime in between the bushing and steel case

The balljoints are part of the arms - so you need to replace the whole arm. Not exactly convenient but its how a lot of manufacturers are going now.

Only other thing I can think of is the strut tops - they could be wearing but there is minimal movement in them since the shock doesn't mount to the hub.

Rang ford today about the top wishbone arms on the f6 and they wanted the vin. Rekons there are about 5 different part numbers for them. Whats the difference with the arms or is it the bushes?
