I have a BF XR6T that I'll be doing some club motorsports with soon...

I have to fit towing hooks front and rear and a "secondary" bonnet latch as well...
The towing hooks aren't really a big deal ( the rear can be fixed to the towbar and I'll figure something out for the front)

But the bonnet latching has me a bit stuffed because I don't want to be drilling holes or installing bonnet pins in it...

So my question is....how have others done this?.........thanks guys.... :)

You may not need one. Depending on what body is sanctioning the event eg CAMS, They may permit the use of the inbuilt factory safety latch as the secondary bonnet restraint. Failing that, An old leather belt run through the latch and down to your front tow point would do the trick.

Hmm...read through the rules again and for the class I'd be in it's there all right.....

Checked out the belt idea but I'd have to run it from low down on one side of the bar up over the grille and try to squeeze it under the bonnet... :ermm:
There's got to be a better way somehow??.....

I have a short wire cable that attaches near top of the radiator with a bolt. Other end clips onto the existing U-latch on the bonnet.

Only use it when the fibreglass bonnet goes on for track days.

Attached to my road bonnet for the crap pics..

Only usually attach it to the vented fibreglass bonnet for track days.

I just registered for a track day that listed front and rear tow hooks as a requirement. So I register and pay and *then* go and check for tow hooks. Genius.

I can't find one on the rear, does one exist? The manual only specifies the front threaded hook location.

Anyone got a pic or description where the front one is? Thanks.
