I never heard of anyone loosing top end power with one fitted. I fitted one to my non tuned tuned FG with a Herrod intake and if anything it made it feel more laggy with a bit more intake noise. Its literally only there to quiet down the induction noise of the stock car. I'd be asking your tuner how the hell he can substantiate a loss of power by replacing the stock pipe.
