(when the car warms up).The transmission was serviced at around 185,000KMS.You guys think it could be an oil issue?...Or does a transmission whine mean that death is imminent.? Mine did it after a service and had it checked and it was 200ml odd low. Once it was topped up slight whine when cold was gone.

The car is modified and I have had the gearbox flushed but refilled with Transmax Z It still did it.The only time I got it to almost stop was when I changed the battery for a new one which must have reset the gearbox's learning mode as it was only just making the noise on the odd gear change but came back after a week!I believe the wharr is a pump noise inside the gearbox but can't find enough info on the problem... Only start happening after my trans cooler install. Took the car to my local trans specialist and it drank 700-800ml of life guard. No more issues after that - So it shows how sensitive they are when not full.
