Been reading a lot of posts about tuning the ZF, albeit older posts, but am now wondering if it is worth doing or just gonna be a pain in the arse with numerous visits to my tuner to get it right.Does the tune alter the programming in sequential and auto modes? Would have no power/wrong gear til about half way through pulling out round a corner then it would change from 2nd back to 1st and bring it on suddenly 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88920-zf-tuneis-it-worth-it/#findComment-1491113 Share on other sites

You either bog down or it kicks down Getting rid of that's worth a zf tune alone! 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88920-zf-tuneis-it-worth-it/#findComment-1491241 Share on other sites

Z2TT Member 714 Member For: 12y 10m 30d Posted 08/08/14 01:36 PM Share Posted 08/08/14 01:36 PM Really, you have to be able to drive the car before you pay for any sort of shift pattern calibration - otherwise the car is made to drive how the Tuner wants it to drive not how you want it to drive, I barely call this a Custom Tune unless ofcourse your tuner asks you questions on what you want improvement in, lets you drive the car to preview it and make any changes. The main thing that annoys me is the 2nd to 1st only downshifting when at a Total standstill, this needs to be changed to about 15km/h or so you get that instant pull rather than lag.
