I think it might have been $1375 actually - my bad. This is what I would do. Keep a genuine housing (make sure no cracks when spilt off from turbo) and send it off to MTQ to get mod done. As part of that process, see if they'll work you a deal on the GTX now, or ask them to advise as soon as it's on special again which may buy you some time anyway if wanting to save some coin and flick the other CHRA on ebay (your current one still on the car). When ready, do the swap and flick the old one as well to help pay for tune. I had mine sold on ebay before it was off the car!

Mate, brand new out of the box turbo with 4" front, surge, and .60 housing. Spool like no tomorrow and will make the power easy as.

Don't let Johns response put you off. As I said..no fluff.. no BS. He does a decent port job too.

THing is we have so much choice now..

It can get a bit confusing. But I don't think anyone can lay claim to being "so much more better" in the modifying department. Its all been done. And as weve seen with recently, even the the big fellas can stuff up.

Personally ..loved the billet.. wish I had spent abit more time with it, but was offered so I on sold it and moved to a 6235..

No regret.. if you can stretch your budget.. go the 6235.. You will not regret it I can assure you

6235 is number 1 on my want list, but still at uni for the next 12 months so can't afford my tailshaft or zf letting go on me. Trying to restrict my turbo so I only push it to 350 max, if I put the precision on I would no doubt go for over 400.

Send MTQ an email to see if they'll have a sale on the gtx in the future. Because if so I'll be looking at about $2k with ported rear, actuator etc (otherwise more like $2300-2500, then might as well fork out the $2700 for the 6235).Otherwise through precision or MTQ Im looking at about $1500 for billet wheel'd 3576 with rear done, actuator etc. I know it makes sense to just spend the extra and go bigger but only reason I'm looking at upgrading anyway is I need a retune and probably getting a new exhaust and need the ported rear housing anyway so makes sense to do a turbo upgrade while its out.

Hoping to recover $500 or so if possibly by selling 1 complete turbo and one without rear housing once I do the swap (if I go gtx, so will recover a bit more than if I use one turbo with billet wheel)
