So just set up to roll the very forward edge of my front guards on FG as my offset was scrubbing every now and then where it flares.

This section below.

So just started to apply heat (not much at all and the paint split!!!

Any ideas as to what I can do to stop it from splitting?

All ready have drivers side done.

Not much you can do now, touch up paint to stop it rusting

Was thinking maybe clear nail polish or touch up paint to try and bond it, as it was opening up with heat.

You can see that little split starting further along on the right.

Guy I spoke to (Dez from Autofx WA) about rolling the guards on my GT reckons this happens more often than not with FG's...hence I opted not to. He says when the paint splits he uses super glue to hold the paint together and stop it peeling off etc. Sorry to see that happen to your car though mate, not a nice feeling I'm sure!

First side no probs!

Didn't even roll this side as was just starting to heat.

It looked like the paint had been cut with razor blade.

Could always flick these guys an email, see what they reckon? I'm contemplating hitting them up about all the chips in the GT.
