From what I see you have to pull the glass out of the mirror without breaking the back, then you can undo the sensor and cut it out and replace it. To change that whole mirror loom is impossible because the plugs were put on after the wires were run. Ive done a few. Glass does come off. Motor unscrewed and temp sensor can be unscrewed. Ford sell the sensor separate with joiners. Just look up the section in the manual that tells you how to replace the indicator light bulb on your mirror. Pop out the glass, I think there's one screw in there holding the sensor , and a couple of wires to cut then re attach.
